Admission into the Academy’s Occupational Skills Training program is open to applicants age 21 and above. A High School diploma or GED is an educational pre-requisite for all courses. Applicants complete a Community Empowerment Training Academy (CETA) Application for Admission. The Intake Specialist reviews the application for completeness and makes an initial determination of eligibility. Upon completion of her review, the Intake Specialist makes a Recommendation of Acceptability to the Program Director. The Program Director and the Occupational Skills Instructor reviews the application for approval.

Once approval is made, the In-Take Specialist/Admissions Advisor notifies the Applicant of the Academy’s decision and schedules them for the next Orientation Session. She also schedules a meeting with the Academy’s Self Sufficiency Specialist/Job Coach. During the Orientation Session, the new student will complete a training agreement/contract. The student is then referred to Program Director to complete the required financial obligations.

Registration for the Academy’s classes will be accepted daily, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. New class cycles begin on the first and second Monday of each month.

Registration must be completed on or before the 30th day of each month for the following month’s class. Walk-In registration takes place on a continuous basis at the following site location:
